i don't mean to trivialize anne frank, but i see how it might read like that. rather, i think it's interesting to be reminded that she was just a girl, writing in a diary, amidst extremely horrible circumstances. i think it makes her impact and wisdom even more salient.
i'd also hope that including her on here might inspire a few people to go back and read her diary or at least look into her story.
i am jewish, but i do think it's worthwhile to examine my judgment regardless
i appreciate that it wasn’t i’ll intended and the rest of the article is a delicious read. secondly i hear you- but only bc you are a jew like me. writing about dead jews-particularly from the holocaust is 100% not okay by anyone who hasn’t personally been affected by antisemitism/ the collective trauma of being a member of the tribe.
i used to be obsessed with penny porter from girl online!! it was written by zoella and it made me want to be a blogger so bad
Wait, I can't believe I haven't heard of this! Zoella was my icon as a teen-- I am looking it up ASAP. Thanks for sharing :)
To be fair the books were really cliché but i still ate every single one of them up
As so many of the best books are!
this is so fun! I love this. I think I'm either carrie or amy dune đŸ˜ˆđŸ«¢
Oh I just know you’re a good time— I’ve definitely got them in my big three as well đŸ«£ and thank you!
having Anne Frank on here is crazy disrespectful
how so? I consider her the original iconic girl blogger!
oh no… not the trivialisation of anne frank. please tell me you’re jewish?
